What an amazing feeling after I finished the 10K run with a time of 1:12:57 in Longleat Safari Park last Sunday 9th February 2014. A run organized by 2:09 Events Limited. On the same day, Thomas completed the 2 Mile fun run with Martin in the jogger with the chip time of 26:22. Impressive for someone who ran after a week of hectic work and pints of beer in Amsterdam.
The hilly route was a bit challenged for me. I struggled a little but I managed to finish my run. It was a beautiful view all the way from start to finish line passing by the Safari Park and overlooking the Longleat house as you reach the end of the line.
Together with two friends of mine who ran the 10K and two other friends joined Thomas at the 2 Mile Fun Run we are all proud and excited when we are holding our medals from the run. My first ever running medal.
I am so lucky I have the best supporters in the world during my training and during the run. Seeing them waiting and cheering for me at the finish line was amazing.
And now I tasted the victory of my first run…I am in a mission to join a half -marathon one day. It takes a lot of discipline, dedication and willingness to do something to achieve one’s goal. Go Go for Half Marathon!
